What counts. A pizzeria here is a business whose listing files it as a pizza place, or that has pizza in its name. Bars and restaurants that also serve a pie are not counted, and neither are grocery store counters. A chain is a national brand; a local name with several shops (Bocce Club, Just Pizza, La Nova, Franco's) counts as local.

Where it comes from. Business listings from the Overture Maps places release of September 2026 (Meta, Microsoft and Foursquare), cross-checked with OpenStreetMap. Closed and duplicate listings were removed, one shop is kept per address, and chain stores were checked against each chain's own store locator. Population is the 2020 Census. The unit is the town or city, so villages count with their town.

Listings go stale. If a shop here has closed, changed its name, or is missing, that is the source data, and it can be fixed. Send the name and address.

Corrections and changes

Oct. 5, 2026. First version. About 80 doubtful listings (two names at one address, low-confidence entries) were checked by hand against the shops' own sites and local news before publishing.
